二叠纪的化石鱼 - 化石板块基质 - Paramblypterus sp. - 16.5 cm - 12.2 cm (没有保留价)
A genuine fossil fish of the genus Paramblypterus, preserved in its original sedimentary matrix and dating to the Lower Permian, approximately 290 million years ago.
The specimen originates from the renowned Boskovice Furrow (Boskovická brázda), Moravia, Czech Republic, an important European fossil locality known for its exceptionally preserved Permian fauna.
The fish is preserved as a distinct dark silhouette against the lighter matrix, creating a striking natural contrast that highlights its morphology. The fossil clearly displays the characteristic body shape, fins, tail, and cranial region, offering an excellent representation of this extinct freshwater ray-finned fish.
Despite its considerable geological age, the specimen remains well defined and easily recognizable, making it attractive to both collectors and enthusiasts of Paleozoic vertebrates. The natural matrix has been carefully prepared to enhance visibility while preserving the fossil's authenticity and scientific value.
Paramblypterus belonged to a group of primitive actinopterygian fishes that inhabited lakes and river systems long before the age of dinosaurs, providing valuable insight into the evolution of early vertebrate life during the Permian period.
