An elegant and finely crafted gilt silver sugar caster, distinguished by its richly engraved decoration and graceful baluster form. The body is beautifully adorned with scrolling foliage, floral motifs, and rocaille-inspired ornamentation, all enhanced by the warm golden finish.

Raised on a decorative shaped foot, the caster is fitted with a removable pierced cover featuring an elegant finial. The finely perforated top was designed for sprinkling sugar, cinnamon, cocoa, or other powdered condiments with precision and refinement.

Objects of this type were an essential element of refined dining and tea services during the 18th and 19th centuries, combining practical function with decorative sophistication.
