Robert Pierini (1949-) – Signed and dated 1989 grand handmade blown glass vase – Unique piece
A superb sculptural vase in blown glass created by the French master glassmaker Robert Pierini and signed under the base.
This work, dated 1989, perfectly illustrates the artist's artistic language, characterized by organic forms, controlled use of colored inclusions, and ongoing exploration of light and matter. The composition combines an opaline background with applications of vivid colors — emerald green, turquoise, red, yellow and brown — creating an abstract decor of great visual richness.
The asymmetric silhouette, outlined by a deep black frame, gives the whole a remarkable sculptural presence. Each face reveals new effects of transparency, depth, and movement.
Characteristics
Artist: Robert Pierini
Technique: Blown glass and hot-worked glass
Date: 1989
Signature: Signed and dated under the base
