Each set includes an orin bell, a stand, a brocade cushion, and a striker. The bells are made of copper or brass, while the stands are made of wood or plastic. Two of the strikers retain decorative fabric wrapping, while the remaining examples are plain wood. A small striker stand is also included. These bells are used in Buddhist rituals to punctuate prayers and moments of meditation with a distinct, resonant chime. Unlike Himalayan singing bowls, which are rubbed in a circular motion, orin bells are gently struck to produce a single, fading tone that creates a serene atmosphere. The varied forms, finishes, and cushion fabrics reflect the practical use of these ritual objects in temples and household Buddhist settings. As a group, they offer an attractive representation of traditional Japanese devotional furnishings and are suitable for collectors of Buddhist art and ritual implements. The bells show scuffs, patina, surface dirt, and areas of oxidation from age and use. Some cushions exhibit fading, stains, loose threads, and small tears. The strikers and stands show blemishes and wear consistent with long-term use. Overall, the sets display clear signs of age and handling. Please refer to the photos for details. Dimensions: approx. H 8.3-10.2 cm W 8-8.5 cm D 8-8.5 cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. ・We make every effort to accurately represent the product's colors and textures in our photos.
