Massive antler spike from a Megaloceros giganteus (Irish giant deer) from the Pleistocene period. The Megaloceros fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the antler are approximately: the greatest distance between the two ends is 330 mm.
The surface of the antler is preserved with a museum grade coating. Drying cracks are visible on the antler, and there is a repair in the upper part of the antler.
