Kokeshi Trio with Two Award-Winning Artists and Regional Motifs Item Description: A set of three Japanese creative kokeshi dolls, each connected with a regional souvenir motif The left doll features a Zenkoji Temple motif from Nagano, with painted temple scenery and a red bow accent. It is signed by Toshiharu Takahashi. The center doll is an Ise souvenir kokeshi by Kazuwo Takamizawa, with a rounded head, soft facial expression, floral decoration, and an “Ise” label on the front. The right doll is a Hachimantai souvenir kokeshi, decorated with a poem by Ishikawa Takuboku on the body. The dolls show age-related wear, light scratches, stains, and surface marks. The Hachimantai doll is not attributed to a specific artist, but it carries a literary regional theme through the Ishikawa Takuboku poem.
