Expertly handcrafted in traditional Karatsu style, this chawan is covered with pale feldspar glaze. Iron glaze is applied to depict the silhouette of Mount Fuji. The flowing glaze forms distinct layers resembling snow-capped peaks. Fine natural crackles and unique kiln textures cover the entire surface, presenting the charm of traditional Japanese aesthetics. A square kiln seal is stamped on the base. The original paulownia box bears handwritten inscriptions E-Karatsu, Hakeme, Fuji, Chawan, Made by Shishū (絵唐津 刷毛目 富士 抹茶碗 子習造) and red kiln seals. The markings match those on the bowl, proving reliable provenance. It comes with a woven silk shifuku bag, which protects the vessel and enhances the ceremonial ambiance of tea practice. The original paulownia box is complete and well preserved. Natural oxidation and age-related traces can be seen on the piece. There are no chips, hairline cracks or repairs.
