When Longines decided to introduce a highly complicated model to its Master Collection, it collaborated with ETA to develop a movement capable of integrating four retrograde displays into a classically designed timepiece. The result was the Longines Calibre L707.2, based on the proven ETA 7750 architecture, offering excellent reliability, serviceability, and functionality.
Housed in a 41mm stainless steel case, the watch features a stunning silver barleycorn-pattern dial showcasing its four retrograde complications. The retrograde display on the left indicates a 24-hour second time zone (GMT), while the matching display on the right shows the date. The day of the week is displayed beneath 12 o’clock, and a distinctive running seconds display is positioned above 6 o’clock. In addition to the quad retrograde indications, the watch also features a day/night indicator and a moonphase display.
This example is offered in good overall condition. The case and bezel show light hairline scratches consistent with careful wear. The buckle displays minor signs of use. The original strap remains in very good condition. Please refer to the photographs for a detailed assessment of the watch's condition.
The watch has been inspected by a professional watchmaker, and all functions are operating correctly as intended.
