An ultra-premium Highland single malt Scotch whisky, world-renowned as the only whisky matured in a bespoke selection of six different cask finishes. This exceptional expression was crafted by legendary Master Distiller Richard Paterson. It honors the year 1263, when the Chief of the Clan Mackenzie saved King Alexander III of Scotland from a charging stag. In gratitude, the King granted the clan the right to use the 12-pointed Royal Stag emblem, which proudly adorns every bottle today.
The Unique Six-Cask Marriage:
Unlike traditional whiskies aged in one or two wood types, the spirits for King Alexander III mature independently in six distinct casks before being expertly married together:
Ex-Bourbon American White Oak: Provides a classic foundation of vanilla and smooth caramel.
- Matusalem Oloroso Sherry (30 Years Old): Infuses rich notes of dried fruits and nutty complexity.
- Madeira Wine: Adds deep, sun-kissed sweetness and a fruity profile.
- Marsala Wine: Offers heavy, aromatic Mediterranean accents.
- Tawny Port Pipes: Delivers vibrant hints of red berries and fortified wine richness.
- Cabernet Sauvignon Barriques: Imparts an elegant structure with subtle, sophisticated tannins.
