Ryu 龍（りゅう）

This sculpture features a dragon, an imaginary mythical beast. In Japan, it has been called "Ryujin" since ancient times and worshiped as a deity associated with water. The piece portrays the dragon with a dignified expression ascending high into the sky. Due to aging, the material has reacted with moisture and carbon dioxide in the air, resulting in the appearance of "rokusho" (patina).
