日本乐烧瓷器一对 – 金银釉茶碗 – 署名的友箱 – 传统茶道茶碗 - 陶瓷 - 日本 - Shōwa period (1926-1989)

A distinguished pair of Japanese Raku ware chawan (tea bowls), presented with their original signed tomobako (wooden storage box), embodying the essence of traditional tea ceremony aesthetics and masterful craftsmanship. This set features two complementary bowls, each showcasing a unique metallic interior finish against a rustic red clay body. The left bowl displays a lustrous silver glaze with iridescent hues that shift under light, while the right bowl boasts a rich, solid gold interior. This "gold and silver" pairing is highly symbolic in Japanese culture, often representing harmony and balance. The exterior retains the characteristic matte, earthy texture of Raku ware, providing a warm and tactile contrast to the brilliant interiors. Hand-molded in the classic Raku style, the bowls possess an organic, slightly irregular shape that fits naturally and comfortably in the palm. The unglazed lower body reveals the porous, terracotta-colored clay, which is renowned for its excellent heat retention properties, making these bowls ideal for enjoying matcha in cooler seasons. The juxtaposition of the humble exterior and the luxurious interior reflects the profound depth of wabi-sabi philosophy. The accompanying wooden box, inscribed with calligraphy and sealed with a red stamp, authenticates the pieces as a preserved studio work, likely intended for formal tea gatherings or as a cherished collector's item. Condition Excellent condition. Both bowls are free from chips, cracks, or repairs. The metallic glazes remain vibrant and intact. The tomobako shows minor signs of age consistent with storage but remains structurally sound. Dimensions Diameter: 16.5 cm 13.5 cm Height:  7 cm 8.5 cm Measurements are approximate and provided for reference. Please refer to the photos for further details. The item will be carefully packed to ensure safe international delivery, using protective materials and secure packaging methods. Dispatch may take a few days due to handling and postal arrangements in Japan, and your patience is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to contact me at any time. I will be happy to assist you and ensure a pleasant transaction.
