Two cushions in total look made with Gobelin jacquard fabric with floral embroidery in rose and blue colors and pink "Île-de-France" trimming all-around.
The Gobelin is a fabric made with a jacquard loom, with different warp beams and different shuttles for the weft. The different warps and wefts, of different colors, combined with the possibilities of the jacquard loom produce very complex and detailed designs, with possible effects in relief, and give body to a very showy fabric.
Best known as a royal factory supplying the court of the French monarchs since Louis XIV, Gobelin is now run by the Administration générale du Mobilier national et des Manufactures nationales de tapis et tapisseries of the French Ministry of Culture and is still in operation today as a state-run institution.
