镀金皇家华丽——一对泰国手绘 Benjarong 带盖罐 - 瓷, 搪瓷, 金 - Boonyarat & Thai Benjarong - 泰国 - 20世纪

【Item Description】 A set of two hand-painted Thai Benjarong lidded jars (covered urns), offered together as a single lot. Benjarong is one of Thailand's most prestigious decorative ceramic traditions; the name derives from Sanskrit roots meaning "five colours." Historically commissioned exclusively for the Thai royal court and nobility, each piece is entirely hand-painted in mineral overglaze enamels and embellished with real gold, then kiln-fired multiple times — a labour-intensive craft requiring days of skilled work per item. Both jars share the classic Thai silhouette: a rounded body rising to a domed cover crowned by a gilded stupa-shaped finial. The first jar is decorated with dense floral scrollwork and rosette medallions in pink, yellow, white and oxblood-red enamels over a deep red ground, framed by fine gold tracery and intricate black-and-gold border bands; its base bears the gilt "Boonyarat – Handpainted in Thailand" mark. The second jar features an elegant all-over design of pale flowers and foliage reserved in white against a rich reddish-brown ground, lavishly outlined in gold, with a lustrous gold finial and gilt rims; its base carries a "Thai Benjarong" maker's mark printed in black with the workshop's web address. Both jars are supplied with their original presentation boxes. Together they form a coordinated, jewel-like pair that beautifully showcases the living heritage of Thai porcelain craftsmanship — ideal as collector's pieces, refined home décor, or a distinctive gift. 【Size】 Height: 13 cm Width: 9 cm Depth: 9 cm (Both jars share the same dimensions.) 【Weight】 Jar 1: 320 g (item only) / 647 g (with box) Jar 2: 337 g (item only) / 694 g (with box) Total: 657 g / 0.66 kg (items only) / 1,341 g / 1.34 kg (with boxes) 【Condition】 Both jars are in excellent condition, with vibrant, intact hand-painted enamels and bright gilding throughout, and no apparent chips, cracks, or restoration. Each jar comes with its original presentation box. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Shipping & Important Notice [Shipping] Your item will be carefully packaged and shipped from Japan via Japan Post, DHL, or FedEx with a tracking number.
