Two years ago, Terroirs Distillers, the spirits division of Picard Vins et Spiritueux, acquired the Connacht distillery, founded in 2013 in the small town of Ballina on the northwest coast of Ireland. Today, Terroirs Distillers Artisanal Brands, its distribution arm dedicated to the traditional retail network, unveils the Ballina Irish whiskeys. The range already comprises two expressions (70 cl, 43% ABV): Dubailte, a double-distilled whiskey matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, and Triarach, a triple-distilled whiskey matured in ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and ex-port casks.
