Model History:

The Seiko 7T32 series is one of the most respected quartz chronograph families produced by Seiko during the late 1980s and 1990s. Rather than being a simple two-pusher chronograph, the 7T32 movement combines a stopwatch, alarm and date display in a compact analogue layout, making it one of Seiko’s more feature-rich quartz calibres of the era.

This Ref. 7T32-7C60 was produced in January 1996 and features the particularly attractive “panda” configuration of the line: a bright white dial contrasted by three grey sunburst sub-dials and a black tachymeter scale. The layout is both highly legible and technically expressive, with the chronograph registers clearly separated from the timekeeping and alarm functions.

The calibre 7T32 uses two crowns and three pushers to control its various functions. Alongside the central chronograph seconds hand, it features a 30-minute counter, a 1/5-second chronograph register, a small running-seconds display and an independently settable alarm. It is a very capable and characterful example of Seiko’s mid-1990s multifunction quartz watchmaking.

Condition:

The watch is in nice overall vintage condition. The stainless steel case retains its sharp sporty profile, with brushed upper surfaces and polished details around the bezel and case sides. It shows light scratches and marks consistent with age and wear, most noticeably on the caseback, but remains very presentable overall.

The white dial is in very nice condition. Its grey sunburst sub-dials, applied hour markers, Seiko signature, chronograph text, black tachymeter scale and date window remain crisp and attractive. The luminous material in the hands and hour markers is still present and visible, with the watch retaining its original late-1990s sporty character.

The watch has received a new crystal, which is clean and scratch-free. The Seiko 7T32 quartz movement has been serviced, and all functions operate correctly, including the chronograph, alarm and date display. It is sold with a 3-month functionality guarantee.
