罕见的藏族绘画镀金木质仪式祭坛架(神龛柜),19世纪 - 镀金木,漆木 - 中国 - Qing Dynasty (1644-1911)
A rare and highly decorative Tibetan painted and gilded wood ritual altar stand (shrine cabinet), dating back to the 19th Century (Qing Dynasty). This distinctive monastery or family altar furniture features a sturdy four-post structure with an open top platform, a central open compartment, and box-shaped storage enclosed by finely painted panels.
The highlight of this piece is its exceptional, Thangka-quality hand-painted iconography depicting key Tibetan Buddhist deities. The upper frieze panel showcases the Amitabha (Buddha of Infinite Light) in the center flanked by Manjushri (Bodhisattva of Wisdom) holding his flaming sword on the left, and a wrathful Vajrapani (Bodhisattva of Power) enveloped in wisdom flames on the right, forming the sacred triad. The lower sections are beautifully decorated with a seated Green Tara, scrolling lotuses, and an auspicious bowl brimming with treasure fruits, all meticulously rendered over a rich cinnabar red ground with fine gold-leaf detailing.
