A very attractive specimen of mimetite from the classic Pingtouling Mine in Guangdong Province, China. On a dark, iron-rich matrix, hundreds of bright yellow-green mimetite crystals are scattered, forming a sparkling, eye-catching carpet. The crystals are sharp, lustrous, and well developed, creating a highly decorative contrast against the darker background. Specimens of this quality and coverage from Pingtouling have become increasingly scarce and are highly sought after by collectors.
