Vintage Japanese Full-Size Samurai Armor Set An impressive full-size Japanese Samurai armor (Yoroi) from the Showa period, complete with display stand and original storage box. This life-size armor makes an exceptional display piece and represents the elegance of traditional Japanese warrior craftsmanship. The helmet features dramatic long kuwagata antlers with a prominent sun-shaped crest, complemented by a black lacquered iron kabuto with decorative metal fittings. The fierce facial mask (Menpo) retains its original moustache, giving the armor a powerful and authentic appearance. The cuirass and armor are constructed with black lacquered plates laced in beautiful orange, olive green, and black silk cords using traditional odoshi lacing techniques. A finely carved dragon medallion decorates the front of the cuirass, symbolizing strength, protection, and authority. Matching shoulder guards, arm armor, thigh guards, shin guards, and other components complete this magnificent suit. Unlike modern decorative reproductions, this Showa-era armor was crafted as a high-quality display piece inspired by historical Japanese samurai armor, showcasing traditional lacquerwork, metalwork, textile craftsmanship, and hand-lacing techniques.
