中世纪,十字军时代 黄铜色 古代黎凡特吊坠护符,可能含巴尔哈达德神头纹饰 — 约公元10–13世纪 (没有保留价)

A piece of the past, made to be worn Ancient Levantine Bronze Pendant Amulet with Possible Ba'al Hadad Head Motif Object Type: Medallion Pendant / Amulet Cultural Attribution: Medieval Levantine Tradition Period: Medieval Period, ca. 10th–13th Century AD Material: Bronze Technique: Cast and Relief Decorated -Cultural and Iconographic Assessment Certificate: available upon request (PDF format) -All shipments are sent fully insured Dimensions: Height: 37.08 ± mm Width: 30.90 ± mm Weight: 8.95 ± g Description Levantine Medallion Pendant. This cast bronze pendant is formed as a circular medallion bearing a highly stylized anthropomorphic composition. The central motif appears to depict a symbolic head rendered through simplified geometric features, creating a schematic image rather than a naturalistic representation. Comparable symbolic representations are known from the religious traditions of the ancient Levant, where divine figures were occasionally expressed through abbreviated and highly stylized imagery. Within this context, the composition may be cautiously compared with iconographic traditions associated with Ba'al Hadad, the prominent storm and fertility deity worshipped throughout Canaanite and Phoenician cultural spheres. Rather than depicting a complete figure, the design appears to emphasize a symbolic facial representation, a visual convention occasionally encountered on personal devotional and amuletic objects. Due to surface wear and the stylized character of the relief, a definitive identification is not possible. Nevertheless, the pendant reflects the symbolic visual language characteristic of ancient Near Eastern religious traditions, where portable objects could function as expressions of protection, devotion, and cultural identity. The piece displays a well-developed archaeological patina and preservation characteristics consistent with prolonged age and use. Information The offered object was acquired in 2026 through an auction associated with A.N. Auction House in Germany and was transferred to us in 2026 by its previous owner, N.A., based in the Netherlands The object has been documented using high-resolution equipment; no intervention has been made to its form or structural integrity, and only limited color-balance adjustment has been applied. Upon request, museum-standard technical photographs may be provided during the auction; if requested prior to shipment, an expert report and a signed ownership document issued in the buyer’s name can be supplied in PDF format within 3–5 business days Statements regarding dating, function, symbolic interpretation, and material identification represent high-probability academic assessments based on typological comparisons, parallels in museum collections, and expert opinion; definitive conclusions require advanced laboratory analysis and fall outside the scope of the platform’s sales process. Prospective buyers are advised to evaluate the images in conjunction with the stated measurements, as high-resolution photography may influence perceived scale. Throughout the presentation and sales process, principles of scholarly consistency, transparency, and good faith are observed, and no object is knowingly offered as a copy or imitation.
