The surface is decorated with finely incised geometric motifs, partly highlighted with white-filled decoration, creating an attractive contrast against the characteristic reddish-brown burnished surface.\n\nRed Polished Ware was produced throughout the Cypriot Bronze Age and served both as everyday domestic pottery and as funerary offerings. Vessels of this type are among the most recognizable ceramic forms from ancient Cyprus and are highly valued for their distinctive craftsmanship and decorative style.\n\nThe surface displays an attractive ancient patina with minor mineral deposits consistent with age and long-term burial.\n\nCondition: Very good condition. Intact. Minor age-related wear and small mineral deposits consistent with archaeological burial.\n\nProvenance: Formerly in the Madeleine & Erich Dammann Collection, Germany. Acquired during the owners' extensive travels between 1950 and 1970. Documented in Germany by 1970 and subsequently retained in continuous family ownership.
