An exceptional and highly important 3-piece architectural salon suite from the pinnacle of the Vienna Secession avant-garde (c. 1905). This collector’s set features a compact 2-seater sofa designed by Marcel Kammerer (Model A 574 C variant) with a solid backrest, paired with two iconic hybrid armchairs designed by Josef Hoffmann (Model 422 F / 423 F variant), characterized by their distinctive geometric vertical slatted rods.

This particular suite represents a luxury, custom-ordered cabinet-maker execution. While standard catalog editions were commonly mass-produced in steam-bent beechwood, this elite set was crafted from premium quarter-sawn solid oak, beautifully highlighting the natural "tiger stripe" medullary rays of the wood.

Every structural detail speaks to master historical craftsmanship and is fully documented in the extensive macro photographs provided:

Segmented Joinery: The large curved elements—both the upper handrails of the armchairs and the continuous base rings—are not made from a single piece of industrially steam-bent wood. Instead, they are meticulously constructed from solid, shaped oak segments connected via traditional exposed finger-joints, wedges, and wooden dowels. This technique prevents the oak from warping over time and showcases pure bespoke artisanship.

Hardware & Reinforcements: Underneath the seat frames, the front legs are reinforced by original stepped solid oak structural brackets. These are secured into the oak frame using authentic historical flat-head iron screws that have oxidized naturally over the decades.

Base Finish: The lower legs are structurally prepared for the inclusion of historical brass or bronze sabots.

The extensive photo gallery explicitly showcases every joinery detail, the authentic hardware, the clean bottom canvas protection, and the immaculate quality of the restoration. The internal seating structure has been fully renewed with a premium webbing and spring replacement system. The suite is finished in high-end crimson/burgundy velvet with matching textile braided trim.
