Two well-used wooden headrests from the center and south of Ethiopia. Beautiful brown patina. Very smooth top due to their intense use. The "block" -sized headrest is of Gurage origin; a nice simple design. Dim.; 15 x 16 cm. The more elegantly carved headrest with their 4 legs comes from the Sidamo-region in the south. The top and bottom are very intricately decorated with thin lines. Small hole visible of a old knot. Dim.;16 x 19 cm. Collected in Ethiopia in the late 1990,s.
