日本 Ikkanbari 书法托盘 — 柿渋饰面竹制和纸桌面收纳,壁挂式 - 竹, 纸 - Ikkanbari - 日本 - 21世纪

Item Description This is a beautifully crafted ikkanbari tray, a traditional Japanese technique in which washi paper is layered over a bamboo frame and then hardened with persimmon tannin (kakishibu), a natural preservative and lacquer substitute that has been used in Japan for centuries. The surface is covered entirely in handwritten Japanese calligraphy — a flowing mix of kanji and hiragana — lending the piece a striking, almost painterly energy. The deep rust-red tone of the kakishibu finish contrasts dramatically with the dark ink of the calligraphy, creating a surface that functions both as a utilitarian object and a work of art. This elongated rectangular tray is versatile in use: ideal as a chopstick or cutlery holder, a pen and brush tray, a desk organizer, or a small display tray for accessories and trinkets. It can also be mounted on a wall as a decorative art piece, as shown in the reference photos, adding a bold statement of Japanese craft aesthetics to any interior. The kakishibu finish gives the piece a naturally water-resistant, durable surface that deepens in character over time. A wonderful example of Japanese folk craft ingenuity, where everyday objects are elevated into objects of beauty. Size Length: 28 cm Width: 10 cm Height: 3.6 cm Weight 46 g Condition This item is new and unused, in excellent condition. No scratches, stains, or damage of any kind. Artist Profile This piece is unsigned and the maker is unknown. It is a fine example of anonymous Japanese folk craft (mingei) in the ikkanbari tradition. NOTICE: The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post ,DHL or FedEx depending on the situation. Please note that we may use recycled cardboard boxes for outer packaging.
