日本 - 徽章 - Eighth grade white tung leaf seal - 20世纪中期(二战期)
The Imperial Japanese Army Order of the White Paulownia Leaf, 8th Class, was a standard military merit award given to officers of the Army and Navy during the Showa era. The Paulownia Leaf medal system, using the paulownia flower as a symbol of the imperial family, provides a complete account of the Japanese military's award system during World War II and possesses invaluable direct historical information on modern East Asian military history. The complete set consists of three pieces: the pure silver medal, a silk ribbon, and the original black lacquered wooden box. The medal is crafted from high-purity silver in a single piece, with sharp relief details of paulownia leaves and flowers on the obverse, clear and three-dimensional vein lines, and a uniform, natural patina formed on the silver surface. The reverse is stamped with the inscription "劲功强芻" (meaning "meritorious service and strong army") in seal script, the characters neat and clear, and the spherical silver hanging ring at the top securely attached. It comes with a standard ribbed ribbon, with a neat red and white color scheme, fine weave, and a well-preserved double-metal brooch on the reverse, showing only slight yellowish oxidation due to age, without any damage or defects. The original black lacquered wooden box features the medal's name hand-painted in seal script on the surface, and is lined with double-layered purple material for storage.
