It is decorated with deeply carved geometric motifs retaining their original polychromy in white, black, red and red-magenta. The panel displays the expected signs of age and long use, including surface wear, small losses, cracks and old insect holes. Over time, the wood has naturally warped, giving the surface a gently curved profile. The reverse has been reinforced with two horizontal wooden bars to provide greater stability. The aged surface, preserved pigments and irregular curvature give the panel a particularly strong and authentic architectural presence.
