This is a top-tier porcelain masterpiece, the "King of Porcelain." The term "King of Porcelain" refers to a vase from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty that utilizes various glaze techniques on a single piece, also known as the "Mother of Porcelain." It boasts several astonishing characteristics: A collection of various glazes: Typically reaching 50 cm in height, the craftsmanship perfectly combines over 15 different traditional Chinese glazes (such as imitations of Ru ware, official ware, blue and white, famille rose, and enamel) onto a single vessel. A symbol of exquisite craftsmanship and a prosperous era: Emperor Qianlong was an avid collector and innovator. Under the guidance of the imperial kiln supervisor Tang Ying, the imperial kilns reached their pinnacle, creating this masterpiece that showcases the wealth and craftsmanship of the Qing Dynasty. Complex and challenging form: In addition to the numerous glazes, the body features intricate structures such as overlapping and rotating parts. To withstand multiple high- and low-temperature firings on such a massive vase without deformation or flaws is a miracle in the history of ceramics. This "King of Porcelain" features 12 openwork designs, displaying imperial grandeur, and is the only piece in this auction.
