This gives the vase realism and a unique atmosphere. Furthermore, the artist uses a ceramic technique that incorporates iron oxide (rust) pigments to create a rust-colored surface. The distinctive rust-colored atmosphere evokes the transience of flower life and the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi.
