未分类 NWA 陨石 L3-4 - 高度: 90 mm - 宽度: 75 mm - 782 g

An attractive meteorite featuring a large window on its "base." Certificate of Authenticity (COA) included. Weight: 782 g. Dimensions: 90 x 75 x 54 mm. A spectacular piece for beginning meteorite collectors—it could even serve as a centerpiece. A unique feature is the presence of shock veins—appearing as black lines across the cut window—which shimmer with a metallic luster when light strikes them at the right angle. This effect is due to the high-energy impact that created the shock; the material within these veins melted rapidly and then cooled just as quickly, taking on a glass-like structure. The surface is dotted with a few regmaglypts, and the fusion crust is dark and striking. History: Acquired in 2026 for Lunarman Meteorites from Sidali M. Salem, a meteorite hunter in Mauritania, as part of a 27 kg lot. During the selection process, windows were cut into several individual specimens to reveal their internal structure. These windows are typically cut into surfaces not usually displayed (such as the base). Other specimens are sliced to create impressive display pieces. What they all share—whether individual masses or slices—is an impressive size when held in the hand; they are recommended for collectors who prefer substantial specimens over the tiny pieces often sold in small boxes. The stands or holders shown in the photos are not included in the auction. However, they can be ordered separately for any specimen, featuring data engraved directly into the stone. A black aluminum display label can also be ordered for each unit.
