Powering the watch is an automatic movement marked S2416 on the rotor. It belongs to the Slava 2414 movement family, known for its unusual twin-mainspring-barrel construction. Closely related Slava automatic calibres use 27 jewels, operate at 18,000 vibrations per hour and feature central seconds together with calendar functions. Its unusual twin-barrel design was discontinued without a modern successor, making it especially interesting to collectors.
