Dial and Hands
The dial presents a highly specific aesthetic, characterized by heavy, even reddish spotting and degradation across the entire surface. Despite this heavy patina, the dial printing, including the "T SWISS MADE T" designation at the bottom, remains entirely legible. The applied indices and the applied Omega logo remain firmly intact. The watch is fitted with stick hands featuring black inserts, which display minor oxidation and visible debris on their surfaces consistent with the overall aged character of the dial.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case displays honest wear, presenting moderate surface scratches and handling marks throughout. The smooth integrated bezel shows general surface scratches consistent with the rest of the case. The lugs retain decent shape but exhibit some nicks and softened edges from years of use. The watch features an Omega signed crown, which shows some wear to the knurling. The domed acrylic crystal remains in good condition, showing minor surface scratches but no major cracks or chips.
Movement
Inside the case is the manual-wind Omega Caliber 611, engraved with "OMEGA WATCH Co", "SWISS", "ADJUSTED TWO (2) POSITIONS", and "SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS", along with the matching serial number. The copper-colored plating is bright and clean, showing no obvious signs of corrosion, oxidation, or damage, and the screw heads appear in good condition. Recording +7s+10s/day on the timegrapher. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The movement was serviced on 21 July 2026.
Strap
The watch is paired with a black leather strap featuring a crocodile pattern and white contrast stitching. The strap appears unworn or very lightly used.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The movement was serviced on 21 July 2026 and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly. The case shows moderate scratches, handling marks, and softened lug edges indicative of honest wear. The dial exhibits heavy, even reddish spotting and degradation, providing an uncompromisingly aged vintage aesthetic, while the hands show minor oxidation. The movement is exceptionally clean and visually well-preserved.
Dimensions
The case size is 34 mm, and this measurement excludes the crown.
Remarks
This Seamaster 600 stands out for its heavily spotted dial, contrasting sharply with the exceptionally clean condition of the Caliber 611 movement inside. The reliable manual-wind caliber and classic mid-century proportions make it an engaging prospect for collectors who appreciate strong mechanical performance paired with a deeply aged visual presence.
History
The Omega Seamaster line was introduced in 1948 to celebrate the brand's 100th anniversary, evolving from the robust, reliable watches supplied to the British military during the Second World War. By the 1960s, the Seamaster had diversified into a wide array of models, from professional dive watches to refined everyday timepieces. The Seamaster 600 series, introduced in the mid-1960s, became a popular choice for its classic styling and the reliable performance of Omega's 600-series manual-wind calibers. Caliber 611, featuring a date function, is highly regarded among collectors for its copper-toned finish, precise engineering, and enduring mechanical longevity.
