made of solid oak wood

Hand-signed with chisel on the bottom.

FORM
Carved from a solid Oak Wood*. Tanned with fire (yakisugi**), stained with a natural dark stain and waxed with natural wax.

* (Oak is a long-lived material that does not rot when exposed to rain.
It's excellent to represent both inside and outside (in the garden or at the home entrance p. e.)
METHOD
** (Yakisugi (焼杉) is a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation. By slightly charring the surface of the wood without combusting the whole piece, the wood becomes water-proof through the carbonisation and is thus more durable. It also protects against insects, as well as making the wood fire retardant.)
