An exceptional Medieval / Crusader-era bronze cross pendant, distinguished by its striking architectural form and deeply sculpted spiral decoration. This authentic devotional object embodies the artistic language of the medieval Christian East, where geometric ornament and sacred symbolism were united to create personal expressions of faith, courage, and divine protection. The cross is formed with ribbed, spiral-fluted arms that converge upon a raised central square engraved with a finely executed Saint Andrew's Cross (saltire). This X-shaped symbol, one of the oldest emblems of Christianity, commemorates Saint Andrew the Apostle, who according to tradition accepted martyrdom upon a diagonal cross out of humility, believing himself unworthy to die in the same manner as Christ.
