卖家的描述
Introduction
Presented here is an elegant vintage Longines manual-winding dress watch, reference 1137, believed to date from the mid-1970s, approximately 1974.
The watch features a softly rounded square case, a champagne-tone dial with a fine vertical brushed finish, applied baton hour markers, and a restrained two-hand display. Its compact proportions and understated styling make it an attractive choice for collectors of classic Swiss dress watches.
Historical & Collector Value
Longines is one of Switzerland’s most historically significant watch manufacturers, with a long-established reputation for precision, refined design, and traditional mechanical watchmaking.
During the 1970s, Longines produced a variety of shaped dress watches reflecting the elegant design language of the period. This example is powered by the Longines Calibre 817.4, a traditional manually wound movement used in selected vintage Longines models.
The combination of its cushion-shaped case, champagne-tone vertically brushed dial, compact dimensions, and hand-wound movement gives this watch distinctive period character. It is a charming addition to a collection focused on vintage Longines watches, shaped dress watches, or classic 1970s Swiss design.
Based on the movement, design, and case number 18,381,021, the watch is believed to date from approximately 1974. The exact production date can only be confirmed through an official Longines Extract from the Archives.
