One side proudly declares: 「清純焼酎　菊和」 “Pure Distilled Shōchū – Kikuwa” The phrase 清純焼酎 reflects the marketing language of the period, emphasizing purity, careful distillation, and a clean, refined taste. During the Showa era, as shōchū evolved from a regional spirit into a widely enjoyed everyday drink, producers increasingly highlighted quality and craftsmanship to distinguish themselves in a competitive market. The reverse side carries a memorable advertising slogan: 「酒は利久」 “When it comes to sake, choose Rikyū.” Rather than repeating the product name, this side functions as a concise catchphrase designed to remain in customers' memories.
