The elevated stand features a rich dark lacquer surface adorned with scattered auspicious treasure motifs (takarazukushi), including sacred keys, scrolls, and treasure bags, bordered by a delicate gold line along the top rim. Three precise slits are cut into the top panel of the stand to securely hold the stepped stems of the cups when stacked or displayed. The set comes with a wooden box (ki-bako) bearing ink calligraphy on the lid and a date inscription corresponding to December 1922 (Taisho 11) on the reverse, where a portion of the text has been covered in black ink.
