A unique handcrafted folk-art character doll depicting an elderly Dutch or Flemish working man. Originated in the Netherlands circa 1960s. The doll wears the flat cap, corduroy suit, hand-knitted waistcoat and the carved wooden clogs. Individually modeled and hand-painted in papier-mâché, composition and clay, while the body is textile-covered. The display stand is included. Condition is reasonable with signs of wear.
