This is an original ink and color painting on silk titled "Peonies and Golden Pheasant," created by the renowned Japanese Nanga (Southern School) artist Yamamoto Baiitsu (1783–1856). The artwork features a vibrant composition of blooming peonies and a majestic golden pheasant perched on a rock, executed with Baiitsu's characteristic elegant brushwork and refined coloring. The inscription reads "Written by Gen'ichi in the Gyokusen Room," referring to the artist's studio name.
