卖家的描述
Elegant set of three original Marcel Franck “Escale” travel perfume atomisers in excellent condition.
Introduced in 1936 and produced until the early 1970s, the Escale (“Port of Call”) was one of the most sophisticated travel atomiser mechanisms ever designed. Each mount consists of approximately 26 solid brass parts, triple-electroplated in chrome, and contains no rubber or fabric components that can perish. The rotating disc mechanism opens and closes a precision gate valve, making the atomisers virtually leak-proof — ideal for travel.
The three bottles:
Total weight: 651g
1. Cylindrical / Tube-shaped bottle
Height: 12.2 cm (including metal mount)
Clear, heavy crystal with vertical fluting. Marked “ESCALE” on the metal. Made in France. Original glass dip tube present. Chrome in excellent condition.
2. Triangular / Geometric bottle
Height: 11.2 cm (including metal mount)
Facetted Art Deco crystal of high quality. Heavy chrome mount in excellent condition. Original glass dip tube present. Made in France.
3. Square bottle – Baccarat
Height: 10.2 cm (including metal mount)
Clear Baccarat crystal with geometric cutting. Base clearly acid-etched:
“Marcel Franck – Made in France – Baccarat”
This is the most desirable combination: Marcel Franck mechanism paired with Baccarat crystal. Chrome in excellent condition. Original glass dip tube present.
Chrome plating is heavy, bright and in excellent condition across all three pieces
No chips, cracks or visible damage to any of the crystal bottles
All original glass dip tubes still present
Mechanisms complete and of high quality
Ready for display or careful use
These atomisers represent the finest French production of the period. Marcel Franck collaborated with the leading crystal houses (Baccarat, Saint-Louis, etc.) and the Escale model remains highly sought after by collectors of Art Deco vanity items and vintage perfume accessories.
A rare opportunity to acquire three different geometric forms from the same prestigious maker, including a confirmed Baccarat example.
Please examine the photographs carefully for exact condition and details. Happy to answer any questions.
