Like a fragment of ice released from the interior of an ancient iceberg, this natural blue Spinel from Mogok, Myanmar displays an exceptionally delicate Ice Blue colour combined with strong transparency, vitreous brilliance and a naturally sculpted morphology. From certain angles, its pale blue body, crystalline translucency and irregular reflective surfaces create an almost frozen appearance, with flashes of aqua and cooler blue emerging from within the crystal.

The colour is refined rather than heavy, centred on a clean Ice Blue with subtle aqua to slightly steel blue nuances. Because the crystal is highly translucent to locally transparent, light penetrates deeply through the specimen and strengthens the blue in the thicker internal areas, while thinner zones become almost colourless and intensely luminous. This natural variation gives the piece considerably more depth than a uniformly coloured crystal.

Its morphology is particularly attractive.
