Description Antique Japanese lobed melon-shaped Imari porcelain jar, manufactured in Arita for export, dating from circa 1870–1895 (Early to Mid Meiji era). Height: approx. 9 cm, maximum rim diameter approx. 9 cm. The jar features scalloped, lobed walls. Decorated in the classic Imari palette: underglaze cobalt blue combined with vibrant iron-red, orange and subtle green overglaze enamels. The surface is divided into shaped cartouches filled with painted floral sprays. A continuous geometric wave border runs around the lower body. The base is fully glazed and unmarked, typical of export Arita porcelain of this period. Condition: Overall good antique condition. No chips, cracks or restorations.
