English description

Parker Duofold Standard fountain pen, made in Newhaven, England, most probably dating from circa 1954.

A British version of Parker’s celebrated Duofold range, finished in attractive dark blue with gold-coloured trim and the characteristic Parker arrow clip.

The original 14K gold nib is marked PARKER – 14K – ENGLAND – 25 – 4. Nib number 25 corresponds to the British Duofold Standard; the additional 4 is consistent with a date around 1954.

Fitted with Parker’s Aerometric filling system.

Length capped: approximately 130 mm.

The pen shows normal signs of use and ageing consistent with a vintage writing instrument of this period. The barrel and cap appear to be in good overall cosmetic condition. The metal components show some patina and oxidation, particularly around the filling mechanism.

An attractive mid-1950s British Parker for collectors, retaining its 14K gold nib.
