30支日本与中国书法笔(Fude)合集—竹制、复古与未使用、款式多样 - 竹子和动物毛 - 日本 - Shōwa period (1926-1989)

A Fine Collection of 30 Calligraphy & Painting Brushes (Fude) – Japan & China, Bamboo Handles, Vintage & Unused This lot offers a wonderful collection of 30 calligraphy and painting brushes (fude), gathered over time and including many unused, never-used examples still bearing their original paper labels and price tags. The collection reflects both Japanese and Chinese brush-making traditions, making it an excellent find for calligraphers, sumi-e painters, and collectors of Asian art materials alike. The majority of the brushes are of Japanese origin, produced by recognized workshops and retailers such as Isshindo (一心堂), Ikkyuen (一休園), Hakubundo (博文堂), and Shorindo (松林堂) — the latter associated with brushes made for the Maruyama school (円山派) of Japanese painting. Several brushes still carry their original Japanese retail price stickers (from Osaka and Nara), adding to their charm as untouched vintage stock. A number of brushes in the set appear to be of Chinese origin, including examples marked with 莱州市制笔厂 (Laizhou Brush Factory, Shandong) and 苏州湖笔 (Suzhou Hu-brush, a celebrated brush-making tradition from Huzhou/Suzhou, Zhejiang), identifiable by their simplified Chinese characters and export-trade markings (进出口公司). The handles are predominantly made of natural bamboo, some left in their natural finish and others lacquered in black, red, or brown. The brush heads are made from various natural animal hair, including soft goat/wool hair (羊毫) and firmer weasel or horse hair, giving the set a wide range of applications from fine line work to broad washes. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a substantial, mixed-origin brush collection in one lot — ideal for practicing artists, restorers, or collectors wishing to study the differences between Japanese and Chinese brush-making traditions side by side. Condition: Mixed — many brushes unused with original labels intact; others gently used, showing light wear consistent with age and storage. Please refer to photos for full visual condition. Dimensions (in cm) Length: approx. 17–25 cm Weight (in grams) Total weight: approx. 200 g Shipping & Important Information Shipping Method: Shipped via international courier (e.g., DHL/EMS) with tracking for secure delivery. Customs & VAT: Please note that Value Added Tax (VAT), import duties, and customs fees are the buyer's responsibility and may be collected by your local customs office upon delivery.
