Netherlands 10 Gulden 1925 “Zeeuws Meisje” – De Nederlandsche Bank, P#43b, S/N HE 69231 Dutch 10 Gulden banknote issued by De Nederlandsche Bank, dated Amsterdam, 6 September 1925, serial number HE 69231. This early “Zeeuws Meisje” issue is catalogued as Pick P#43b and carries the printed signatures of Gerard Vissering, President, and Guillaume Henri Marie Delprat, Secretary. The HE prefix and five-digit serial correspond to the early two-letter series of this type. The obverse is printed predominantly in blue-grey with pale coloured underprinting and features the well-known “Zeeuws Meisje”, a Zeeland woman in traditional regional dress, in the lower central portrait panel. The denomination TIEN GULDEN appears prominently above the portrait, surrounded by finely engraved geometric and ornamental elements. The reverse is printed in brown-purple tones with an elaborate central guilloché rosette, four denomination panels, the repeated HE 69231 serial and the date 6 SEPTEMBER 1925. The note represents the classic Dutch Zeeuws Meisje 10 Gulden design used during the 1920s and early 1930s. Printing detail remains strong throughout, with the portrait, lettering, signatures, serial numbers and intricate security patterns clearly defined. The large unprinted watermark area is intact and the overall colour balance remains attractive. Condition: circulated but complete, with several visible circulation folds and handling creases, including horizontal and vertical fold lines. The paper shows moderate, even age toning and light surface handling, with slight softening of the margins and corners. The central printed areas remain clean and sharply legible. No major tears, pinholes, tape repairs, writing or significant paper loss are visible in the supplied photographs.
