Netherlands 10 Gulden 1924 “Zeeuws Meisje” – De Nederlandsche Bank – S/N DZ33169 Netherlands 10 Gulden banknote issued by De Nederlandsche Bank, dated Amsterdam, 3 July 1924. The note belongs to the well-known 1924 “Zeeuws Meisje” series and carries serial number DZ33169. The two-letter, five-digit serial format and reverse legal text correspond to the early Mevius 39-1b variety; the type is catalogued under Pick P-43. The obverse is printed predominantly in blue-grey and depicts the “Zeeuws Meisje” figure in traditional Zeeland dress beneath the inscription “DE NEDERLANDSCHE BANK – BETAALT AAN TOONDER – TIEN GULDEN.” The reverse is executed in brown and violet tones with an elaborate geometric guilloché design, repeated denomination numerals and the serial number. The reverse also bears the Amsterdam issue date and the contemporary Dutch legal warning concerning counterfeit banknotes. This early 1924 variety carries the signatures associated with De Nederlandsche Bank President Gerard Vissering and Secretary Guillaume Henri Marie Delprat. The banknote is in circulated condition with numerous vertical and horizontal folds, general toning and handling soiling, softened corners, edge wear and surface creasing. The printed design and serial numbers remain clearly visible.
