However, if you require faster delivery, air shipping may be possible through a different carrier for an additional fee, so please contact us. 【Product details】 Presenting an exquisite Edo period wakizashi by Kanenori, complete with shirasaya, koshirae, and two Tokubetsu Kicho (Especially Precious) certificates from the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (NBTHK). The wakizashi features a beautiful hamon and is certified as an especially precious sword. The certificate states: "No. 371057, Wakizashi Unsigned (Kanenori), Length 37.1 cm, Certified Tokubetsu Kicho by NBTHK on May 20, Showa 54 (1979)." The mountings, also certified, includes detailed fittings: "No. 318, Black Lacquer Saya Wakizashi Mountings, Grape and Mouse motif in shakudo with gold inlay, Iron tsuba with chrysanthemum leaves." Menuki depict daffodils, and the tsuba features chrysanthemum leaf openwork. Coller and pommel have shakudo nanako with grape, chestnut, and mouse motifs symbolizing abundance, strength, and prosperity. Shakudo nanako involves tiny circular patterns resembling fish eggs, adding depth and texture. The sword includes a copy of its Firearms and Swords Registration Certificate. The blade has some scratches and minor nicks, the tsuba shows rust, and the saya has scratches, chips, and small dents. Metal fittings show discoloration, the cloth bag has tears, and the handle has dirt. The mounting is longer than the blade. Refer to the photographs for condition. The display stand is not included.
