Made with cloth and chain-mails kusari . From the Edo period 1603-1868 . This armor is composed of : Kusari Zukin - protecting the head and neck . Kusari Katabira joui - protecting the body-torso and arms . Kusari Haidate - protecting the legs and thigh . Kusari Suneate - protecting the shins . kusari han kote - protecting hands . This armor,assembled from pieces with chainmail dates from the late Edo period . It is in fairly good overall condition .with few partially unstiched areas to note . Each component is complete and covered kusar i. This armor Samourai is strong,and dates from around 1850 and weighs 15kg .
