Description:
A striking and rare pair of original Italian Art Deco bedside tables (comodini), dating back to the 1930s–1940s.
Characterized by their iconic asymmetrical "streamline" design, these nightstands feature curved outer edges and high contoured backboards designed to elegantly frame a double bed set.
Period: Circa 1930–1945 (Art Deco / Streamline Moderne Era)
Origin: Italy
Material: High-quality Walnut Veneer (Noce) with beautiful natural wood grain and burl patterns.
Storage: Each table consists of 1 top drawer and 1 lower cabinet with an internal shelf.
Handles: Original dark curved celluloid/Bakelite handles, typical of the era.
Interior: Vintage floral pattern lining inside drawers and cabinets.
Condition:
In authentic vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. There are visible surface scratches, finish fading on the tops, and minor lacquer scuffs along the edges (please refer to photos for full details). Solid structural condition with huge potential for a light restoration or French polish, though perfectly usable as-is for vintage enthusiasts.
