Denmark 23th april 1866 letter from Copenaghen to Libau (Liepaja Courland Latvia Russian Empire) franked with 25 skilling using the double-oval-coat-of arms issue; three 3s lilac stamps (two of which were detached and reattached with a hinge in their original position) + one 16s olive stamps. They are cancelled by four strikes of the "1" triple circle postmark, with the Copenaghen circular date stamp (april 23) alongside on the front. All the stamps have had their perforations trimmed off. The rate corresponds to the double-weight tariff (an excess of 1skilling for weight exceeding 15 grams) applicable to direct intenational mail via Lubeck (Lubeck transit mark dated april 24 on the reverse).
