TECHNICAL & MECHANICAL CONDITION:

This Porsche 911 996 Turbo is powered by the renowned 3.6-litre twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine, producing 420 PS, combined with the desirable 6-speed manual gearbox and Porsche’s permanent four-wheel-drive system.

The so-called Mezger engine is one of the most respected Porsche engines of the modern era. Its design is derived from Porsche’s motorsport engines and is fundamentally different from the naturally aspirated M96 engines used in the regular 996 Carrera models. The Turbo engine uses a separate crankcase design and does not use the same IMS-bearing construction that is often associated with the naturally aspirated 996.

The Mezger engine was developed with high-performance and motorsport use in mind and is known for its strong construction, dry-sump lubrication system and ability to handle high power outputs. Closely related versions of this engine were also used in the Porsche 996 GT3 and in Porsche’s racing programmes.

In the 996 Turbo, the 3.6-litre Mezger engine is fitted with twin turbochargers and intercoolers and produces 420 PS and 560 Nm of torque. Combined with the 6-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel drive, this gives the car very strong performance while still making it suitable for regular road use and longer journeys.

The car is also equipped with Porsche Stability Management (PSM), power steering and electronic throttle control.

EXTERIOR & BODYWORK:

The car is finished in Seal Grey Metallic, a particularly attractive and timeless colour on the wide-body 996 Turbo. From the factory, the car was equipped with the desirable 18-inch Turbo II wheels, also commonly known as Turbo Twist wheels. These rims are painted in the same color as the car to give the turbo its characteristic original appearance.

Exterior equipment includes Xenon headlights with headlight washers, front fog lights, an electrically operated sunroof and a rear window wiper. The exterior mirrors are electrically adjustable and heated, with an aspherical driver’s side mirror.

The Turbo-specific bodywork includes the wider rear arches, large front air intakes, side air intakes and the characteristic automatically extending rear spoiler. The car also features factory stainless-steel door sill trims with Turbo lettering (option X70).

INTERIOR:

The interior is finished in black leather and presents in a clean and original specification.
Both the driver and passenger seats are electrically adjustable comfort seats. The front seats are finished in leather, while the rear seats are also leather trimmed. The car is additionally equipped with a split-folding rear seat.

The driver has a three-spoke airbag steering wheel, onboard computer and the controls for the original information and navigation system. Further comfort equipment includes air conditioning, electric windows, illuminated vanity mirrors and a centre console.

Safety equipment includes driver and passenger airbags, side airbags, an anti-theft system, alarm siren and tilt sensor.

DOCUMENTATION:

This is a Belgium delivered Porsche 996 Turbo from 2001, and the car is currently supplied with Belgian registration paper. The car has a recorded mileage of 185,005 kilometres. The car will be delivered with the original service book stamped and an extensive file of documents.
