Large oval serving platter from the legendary Meissen "Swan Service" collection. Originally modeled in 1737 by Baroque master Johann Joachim Kaendler, but this specific peace was crafted in year 2002. The center of the plate features an exceptionally detailed embossed motif of a pair of swans gliding among reeds and water lilies, over-flown by a heron against a backdrop of sun rays and delicate wave textures. The wide rim features a matching sea-shell style ribbed design. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations. Glaze is incredibly bright and clean.
